last weekend was the wedding(posted below) and lastnight we went out for an "after the wedding session". these are so great b/c you get some fun shoots one on one with the couple on a stress free day. it was great to see them again.
i love the sun behind them here. so fun!

this was cute. kim wore filp flops since you couldn't see her feet! great idea.


there were so many good ones of the young's. but, these were some of my favorites.

} fun @ the beach {

over the weekend we went to "the beach"! we don't often venture very far from the dock, but every now and then it is nice to go out so laykin can play in the sand and actually touch the bottom. she likes it, but the sand gets EVERYWHERE. we then went to keller's cove for lunch. it is like a tradition almost for us to visit several times in the summer. what is better than an restaurant on the lake - plus they have awesome food. kevin and my dad were in so much pain by the time we left.

kim was such a beautiful bride. her dress was so elegant. it was an ivory strapless gown with these little beads and everything she wore just went together so well. their colors were great.. i couldn't image better colors. they were chocolate brown, red and ivory. it was very modern and fresh. i am so glad that i got to be a part of their special day.

there we so many little kids in this wedding, it was great. this one was the miniature bride and she was just a doll.
the rings! were so pretty. kim had made these little trees with guitar picks on them because chuck's a musician. they were for guests to take. so cute and personal. ( must have taken her hours to do )

from the moment i met these 2 boys, i knew we wouldn't have any problems with them being camera shy. little gavin was very interested in the camera... i think he's a natural born photographer ; ) here are a few of my favorites from the session...

this is on of the latest fun techniques in photography... TEXTURES! and i LOVE it! Jaren and I are actually going to St. Louis in October to learn more about them and the new artistic applications in the growing urban style photography, which I am all about...

it is pretty bad when you buy an outfit just so you can take your daughter's picture in it.

These are a few random shots of Laykin from over the past couple of weeks.

My Bday party.... my great friends threw me an early surprise birthday party at salsa's with a "tinkerbell" theme complete with a crown and magic wand. when i got home with it, you can imagine how excited laykin was... she thought it was all for her. she was sooooo excited and thankful for amanda, jessi and jaren... it made her day (even though she is a sick girl with a cold) she wore the crown all day...

the next 2 are from a couple weeks ago... we got her TJ Bearytales for cmas last year and she has just recently started playing with him... he has different stories that he tells and you have a book that you follow along with. it is great!!!
then she spotted me, busted!!!
